The Shop lead capture helps returning customers check out faster by automatically applying discounts at checkout. When a visitor enters their email through one of your campaigns, Shop can recognize them later and apply their discount – even across sessions or devices.

How it works

When Shop lead capture is enabled:

• Emails collected through your campaigns are sent to Shopify.
• If a returning customer checks out using Shop Pay, Shopify can automatically apply a discount code (if one was shown earlier).
• This feature improves conversion rates by removing friction at checkout.

How to enable Shop lead capture

1. Open your campaign and click on Edit Campaign button.
2. Go to Settings > Discounts.
3. Find the section Lead capture with Shop.
4. Turn on the toggle: Enable lead capture with Shop.
5. Make sure Shop Pay is enabled in your Shopify Payments settings in Shopify admin.

FAQ

Do I need to use Shop Pay for this to work?

Yes. Shop lead capture relies on Shop Pay to identify the customer and apply the discount at checkout.

Does this feature apply to all campaigns?

Yes. Any campaign with an email field can send lead data to Shop when this feature is enabled.

Is the discount applied by 1Click Popups or by Shopify?

The discount is applied by Shopify at checkout – not by our app. We just enable the lead capture.

Does this replace the “Auto apply discount” setting?

No. These features are separate. "Auto apply discount" adds the discount code immediately during the campaign. "Lead capture with Shop" helps apply it later, through Shop Pay.
