Welcome to 1Click Referrals! We're excited to have you. This introductory guide will give you a quick overview of how the app works and walk you through the simple steps to launch your new referral program.
How it works: The big picture
Before you dive in, let's look at the simple journey your customers will experience:
- A customer buys from you: After checkout, your customer sees a referral offer on the "Thank You" page (e.g., "Give friends 15% off, get $10 for yourself!").
- They share their code: The customer shares their unique code with friends who might love your products.
- A friend buys: The friend uses the code to get a discount on their purchase.
- Your customer is rewarded: As soon as the friend's purchase is complete, we automatically email your original customer their reward.
The whole process is automated to help you generate word-of-mouth sales effortlessly.
Your first steps: Setup & activation
Getting your program running takes just a couple of minutes.
Step 1: Customize your program
This is where you'll set your offers and personalize the text to match your brand's voice.
- From your Shopify admin, open the 1Click Referrals app.
- Click the "Manage program" button.
- Set the friend's offer. This is the discount a new shopper gets (e.g., 15% off).
- Set the customer's reward. This is the coupon your brand ambassador gets (e.g., $10 off).
- Customize your messaging. This is the text on the "Thank You" page and in the reward email.
Step 2: Activate your program
Once you're happy with your settings, you're ready to go live.
- Go back to the app's main dashboard.
- Click the "Activate program" button in the top-right corner.
